Fortnite Season 3 Release – Chapter 2 Postponed

The week started off well and with good news for Fortnite fans who are users of the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro phones because, in a partnership between OnePlus and Epic Games, it was announced that the Chinese company’s smartphones will be the first to run the game at 90 fps.

However, another piece of news that was released today, May 28, may not be very pleasing to the players of the franchise. Last month, Epic Games reported that the current Fortnite season would be extended to the beginning of June, planning to launch Fortnite – Chapter 2’s third season on June 4th. However the company today posted on Twitter that the new launch date will be June 11, a week after the start date.

On its blog, the company also announced a live event scheduled for June 6, at 2 pm Eastern Time called “The Device”. Epic Games warns players to guarantee their seats before, as there will be limited participants in the live.

In an effort to get everything ready for Chapter 2 – Season 3, we are extending Season 2 for a week. The new launch day for the third season will be Thursday, June 11th. Also check out a live, one-time event called The Device, scheduled for Saturday, June 6, at 2 pm Eastern Time. (Please show up 30 minutes in advance to help secure your spot, places will be limited)

Windows 10 finally gets its big update of the year. Here’s how to install

After several months of waiting, behold, the much-promised update in May started to be sent to all Windows 10 users. This distribution starts a day earlier than expected and I don’t think anyone will complain.

Microsoft has slightly changed the philosophy of Windows 10 updates, so this will be the most important of the year. Towards the end of 2020 another update is expected, but only to correct minor details.

What’s new in Windows 10 May 2020 Update

This version is also known as Windows 10 version 2004 and brings some news that deserve to be highlighted. Firstly, we have a renewed interface for the Cortana assistant.

Cortana is now an independent application, which means it can be improved at any time. It gives primacy to written commands, something that goes against the new ideology that Microsoft has for Cortana.

We also have news for virtual desktops that will now last even after you turn off your computer. It will also be possible to assign names that will also be saved automatically.

There is an effort to unify all Windows settings in the Settings application, the notepad has also been improved alongside the File Explorer and we should also mention new productivity options for Calendar and Mail.

How to install the new update for Windows 10

Unfortunately, Microsoft will not automatically install this update on its users’ computers. So, there are some methods you can use to receive news.

You can always manually check Windows Update for new updates. In my case, I still don’t have access to it via this route, but if you do, you will be presented with a link that will take you to the installation of Windows 10 May 2020 Update.

The most immediate is to go to the Microsoft website and click on the “Update now” button. An executable file will be downloaded that will proceed to update, in a simple way, your Windows 10.

If none of these solutions work, you can always download this tool from Microsoft . Once started, you will have to accept the terms, select the option to update your PC and follow the instructions.

Call of Duty: WWII will be free for PlayStation players

Call of Duty: WWII will be free for PlayStation Plus users, Sony’s Internet service for its PlayStation console.

Sony revealed through its social accounts that Call of Duty: WWII is one of the free games for the month of June and players will be able to download it from May 26. The announcement of Call of Duty: WWII Free is the first before Sony reveals the full list of games that it gives away monthly to its subscribers.

Every month, Sony gives away games, from titles of large distributors to independent producers, for all subscribers of PlayStation Plus, a service that in addition to accessing these titles offers special discounts and activates the possibility of playing online with other players.

Call of Duty: WWII is not the latest title in this acclaimed saga — that game is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare . Call of Duty: WWII launched in 2017 and is one of the most beloved versions among fans of the saga. The title generated $ 500 million during its first three days of availability, and in December 2017, just one month after its launch, it had already exceeded $ 1 billion in revenue.

You can download the game only if you have an active PlayStation Plus account. The good news is that once it is available on May 26 and you download it, it will be in your library forever, even if you stop paying for PlayStation Plus.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Plus: image reveals rear camera

Until now, some images showing the alleged design of the Galaxy Note 20 had been circulated, but there was still no information on the “Plus” variant. Thanks to the renowned @OnLeaks leaker, we now have access to the first images of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Plus and, it seems that it can arrive with a rear camera with a very unappealing look.

Considering Steve H. McFly’s history with regard to information about Samsung products, it is safe to say that these images present us with the “almost final” design of the next top of the range. This giant photographic module is certainly not to be liked by many users.

As for the dimensions of the smartphone, there is talk of a 10.7mm thickness with the photographic module and only 7.6mm of the Note 20 Plus body. Therefore, its four rear cameras will have a projection of 3.1 mm.

What we know about the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Plus

These images end up confirming several details about your cameras, and confirm the suspicions that its design will be very similar to the Galaxy Note 10. Apparently, its curved screen will continue to be 6.9 “inches and will have the same punch hole positioned in the center.

With regard to your cameras, we have three vertically aligned large sensors, the third of which will have a periscope lens. On the right we have an LED flash, followed by an autofocus module and a fourth sensor (depth).

While we expect to see the Galaxy Note 20 Plus arrive with a new main sensor of 108 megapixels, it seems that the same will not happen with the “normal” model. This should arrive with the same 12MP sensor present on the Galaxy S20.

As for the rest of its specifications, it is believed that its screen will have a 120Hz refresh rate and a 4,000mAh battery. Certainly over the next few weeks, many more details about Samsung’s upcoming range tops will be revealed.

4 steps to protect your Gmail account right away

From bank statements to personal messages , and even password reset requests, your Gmail account contains a wealth of personal information. If someone had access to it, in practice they could access your entire identity online.

Rather than simply waiting for hackers not to access your account, take 10 minutes of your time and secure your Gmail account right now.

Use a strong password

I suspect that we are all guilty of having reused simple passwords at some point. I admit that I used to. But using the same passwords on multiple sites and services is like asking someone to hack your accounts. It is enough with an information leak or data violation in some service, so that the hackers begin to try to log in to all your accounts.

It is time to change things. Use unique, randomly generated passwords for each online account you have. Keeping track of all those passwords is easy if you use a password manager.

To change the password for your Google account, visit the security page account  and click Password ( Password ) in section Signing in to Google ( Log on Google ). Verify your password if prompted, then enter your new password (generated by your administrator password) and click Change Password ( Change Password ).

Set up two-step verification in your Google account.
Set up two-step verification in your Google account.

Enable two-step verification

Without two-step verification, also known as two-factor authentication, hackers only need your password to access your entire Google account, which includes YouTube, Gmail, and Google Pay. And remember, if you reuse the same password for multiple services, hackers could get it from a data breach or through a phishing scam.

With two-step verification, hackers would need your password and a randomly generated six-digit access code, or have physical access to your phone, in order to access your account.

Enables two – step verification visiting the page up your Google account and clicking on 2-Step Verification ( 2 – step verification ).

Setting up two-step verification
Setting up two-step verification greatly reduces the chances of someone accessing your account.

Follow the prompts until you reach the section you see in the screenshot above. Once there, decide if you want to receive push alerts in the Gmail app to approve login requests (the default option), or if you want to use random access codes. Using alerts in the Gmail application is easier, but it means that you must have your phone close at all times. You will also need a data connection to approve the alert. If you are in a place without coverage, such as on a plane, for example, you will need to connect to Wi-Fi.

If you choose to use an access code, you can receive it by text message or access it in a password manager. I use a password manager to manage my verification codes in two steps, allowing me to access the codes on any device, regardless of whether I have a data connection on my phone.

If you choose to use alerts, click Try it now ( Try Now ). You will receive an alert on the phone that appeared on the screen. Follow the rest of the prompts to complete the setup.

But if you want to use access codes, click Choose another option ( Choose another option ) and then Text message or voice call ( text message or phone call ).

Enter your phone number and then enter the code to activate two-step verification. After entering the code and clicking a few more buttons, two-step verification will be activated.

Scan the QR code to add your verification codes in two steps to Authenticator or your password manager.
Scan the QR code to add your verification codes in two steps to Authenticator or your password manager.

But wait, we’re not done yet. Although using two-step verification using access codes sent by text message is safer than not using it at all, I recommend using push alerts if possible . The scams change SIM cards are becoming more common, and allow hackers to take over your phone number and receive your verification codes in two steps.

If you prefer to use access codes, take a few extra minutes of your time and set up an authentication app for your Google account. You can use the Google Authenticator app or a password manager. Click Set Up ( Configuration ) section of the application Authenticator app ( App of the Authenticator ) and then select the type of phone you use. Use your preferred application to scan the QR code, then enter the access code generated by your application to verify that everything is configured correctly and ready.

Note : There is an even more secure option to protect your Google account that uses a physical security key. For most people, however, charging an additional device is not a realistic option. At the very least, you should activate two-step verification.

Make sure this section has the correct information in case you cannot access your account.

Check your backup contact methods

It is possible that from the first time you set up your Gmail account you have changed your phone number or closed a previous email account. Therefore, it is a good idea to verify your backup contact methods. It is the information that Google will use in case you cannot access your account to confirm that it really belongs to you.

Visit this page and look for the section entitled Ways we can verify it’s you ( Ways to verify your identity ).

Click on each section – Recovery phone ( Phone Recovery ) Recovery email ( E – mail retrieval ) and Security question ( security question ) – and updates the information if necessary.

Remember that if this information is out of date and you cannot access your account, Google will not be able to verify that you belong.

If you suspect that someone is accessing your Gmail account, check where they access it on the web and close all sessions.
If you suspect that someone is accessing your Gmail account, check where they access it on the web and close all sessions.

Check your account activity

It is possible that a hacker (or an ex) is accessing your account without your knowledge. To verify it, log in to your Gmail account and scroll to the bottom of the page. You will see a line that says “Last account activity”.

At the end of that line, click Details ( Details ) to see me when, how and where you are using your account. If you suspect that there is some unknown activity, click the button Sign out of all other sessions Gmail web ( Close all other open sessions on the web ) and change your password immediately.

Galaxy Note 20: release, features, price and rumors

The Galaxy Note 20 (or Galaxy Note 11, if it ever gets that name) would be Samsung’s next flagship phone slated to conquer the market in the second half of 2020, which will likely be accompanied by the Galaxy Fold 2, as was the case with the Galaxy S20 Ultra, Galaxy S20 Plus and Galaxy S20 with the Galaxy Z Flip in the first half of the year.

Although it would still be a few months before the launch of the Galaxy Note 20, there are some news that are expected compared to the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10 Plus that were presented in the second half of last year and there are already some rumors related to this new generation . Here we collect the main rumors and what is expected at the moment from those phones.

Name: Galaxy Note 20 instead of Galaxy Note 11

Samsung just launched the Galaxy S20, but now the next eagerly awaited flagship phone is the Galaxy Note series.

Although the most normal thing for many would be to expect the next generation of Samsung Note phones to be called Galaxy Note 11, the big bet is that they will be called Galaxy Note 20, since the company did the same with the Galaxy S series.

The name or numbering change came because the company now wants to include the year as a reference of when they were launched. In this way, this year the Galaxy S20 arrived and next year the Galaxy S21 would arrive. Therefore, the most logical thing now would be that the new Note devices assume the same numbering and the Galaxy Note 20 arrives and next year the Galaxy Note 21.

Versions or models: Galaxy Note 20, Note 20 Plus and Note 20 Ultra?

Because Samsung introduced two versions of its Note phone last year, the company is expected to release at least two new versions in 2020.

That said, the versions would be Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Plus, but with the launch of the S20 Ultra there is a possibility that Samsung will also decide to launch a third version called Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. The latest rumors suggest that Samsung will decide not to launch a Note 20 Ultra , focusing only on two models – which would be the Note 20 and Note 20 Plus.

Samsung would decide not to launch the Note 20 Ultra to put most of the S20 Ultra’s features in the Note 20 Plus, and thus leave a smaller portfolio. The Note 20 Plus, in case there is no Ultra model, would be the most equipped and with the best specifications – but also the most expensive.

Launch and availability

The launch of the Galaxy Note 20 would be perhaps in early August, in the second Galaxy Unpacked 2020 event, since the Galaxy Note 10 was presented on August 7 , 2019 and the Galaxy Note 9, on August 9 , 2018.

Considering that last year said date fell on Wednesday and the previous one, on Thursday, it is possible that the launch of the Galaxy Note 20 will be on August 5 or 6, 2020. The event, known as Unpacked, could be broadcast only in line and there would be no physical event as such, a change brought about by the health emergency due to the corona virus pandemic.

As for availability, as usual, those interested are expected to be able to buy the Galaxy Note 20 from Friday of the week of the presentation (that is, August 7), at least in pre-sale. The Galaxy Note 20 is expected to hit stores and be available a few weeks later, perhaps on August 21.

However, due to the corona virus, it is unknown whether Samsung could be forced to delay the launch of this new generation of flagship phones for a few.

One of the most important trends in recent years is that high-end phones have risen in price each generation.

  • Galaxy Note 8: $ 929
  • Galaxy Note 9: $ 999
  • Galaxy Note 10: $ 949
  • Galaxy Note 10 Plus: $ 1,099

Also, Samsung further increased the price with its flagship phones this year, as the cheapest Galaxy S20 costs $ 999.

With this, the most logical thing would be to expect the price of the Galaxy Note 20 to be higher than the previous generation and, although it is not clear, how much more expensive, the price could start at US $ 1,099, to be placed one step higher than the S20.

Design and Specifications

There have not been many leaks or rumors about the design of the Galaxy Note 20 and, although there are already some very interesting things that have been leaked, in the coming weeks, many others should be known.

So far, a cover revealing some design features of the Galaxy Note 20 has been leaked through the Chinese social network Weibo.

The cover shows a very rectangular design as usual, without a traditional headphone jack, a rectangular camera module – like the one on the Galaxy S20 Ultra – and, apparently, all the buttons would be located on the left side edge.

Also, weeks later the popular filter Roland Quandt published images of the cover mold for the alleged Galaxy Note 20 Plus (or perhaps the Galaxy Note 10 Ultra, revealing some additional details.

For example, the camera module would be very similar to that of the Galaxy S20, integrating a large vertical rectangle.

In addition, the filter revealed that the power and volume buttons would now be located on the right side edge, a good change for right-handers since in the Galaxy Note 10 the company changed them to the left side.

According to the filter, these molds would be used to manufacture the LED View Cover that would be sold with these cell phones.

Another important novelty could come through the screen, since it would not only integrate a screen with a 120Hz update rate with improvements compared to that of the S20, but it could also have the front camera integrated under the screen, according to the popular @UniverseIce leaker.

Like the Galaxy S20, at least one of the Note is expected to offer up to 100x zoom, video recording up to 8K, 5G in markets where the network is already available (without being a special model for 5G), Snapdragon 865 or Exynos processor. 990, Android 10 and at least 12GB of RAM.

However, a performance test on GeekBench revealed that the so-called Galaxy Note 20 Plus 5G (SM-N986U) would have 8GB of RAM, the Snapdragon 865 processor and Android 10, as discovered by the blog SamMobile . Just keep in mind that these kinds of tests could be just prototypes and not the versions that we will know in the future.

Another interesting aspect is that, according to the SamMobile blog and the PhoneArena, the Galaxy Note 10 would have 128GB of initial storage instead of 256GB, like the Galaxy Note 10. It is not known if this would be a real change or if it would perhaps be intended for a Galaxy Note 10 Lite, so we will have to wait to know what reality will be like.

Likewise, a Samsung patent found by Patently Mobile revealed a much more curved screen than any Samsung cell phone and it has been rumored that it could come in the Galaxy Note 20. However, Samsung made the screen of the Galaxy S20 practically flat, so it would be strange that after reducing the curvature of one cell to the minimum, increase it to the maximum in the other.

Something also interesting is that according to a report from ZDNet , the Galaxy Note 20 could also release the Exynos 992 processor in some markets where the Snapdragon 865 processor is not used, bringing a manufacturing architecture of 6nm instead of 7nm, greater efficiency in the battery consumption and 1 to 3 percent better performance than the Snapdragon 865, according to a report on the Korean Clien site .

On the other hand, news is also expected for the S Pen and although there are few rumored specifications here we have some that have been mentioned through the different sources mentioned and some others that we expect.

However, the popular filter @UniverseIce and the editor of XDA Developers @MaxWinebach, revealed that the Galaxy Note 20 will be practically the same as the Galaxy S20, with the exception of the S Pen. This would indicate the same Snapdragon 865 or Exynos 990 processor, 12GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, three or four rear cameras, and a fingerprint reader built into the screen. At least the Note 20 Plus would have a new fingerprint reader built into the screen , which would be larger and provide more space for the user to place their finger.

The rear camera is expected to be 108 megapixels , but only on the Galaxy Note 20 Plus, according to the Galaxy Club site. The Galaxy Note 20 (base model) would have the same Galaxy S20 battery size (4,000mAh).

However, a change that would come in the cameras could be the absence of the Time of Flight (ToF) sensor, according to the Korean publication Kipost .

According to the report, Samsung would decide to eliminate this sensor because they have not taken so much advantage of it and that its plans to bring that class of sensors to the mid-range would also be rejected.

Galaxy Note 20: Features and Specifications

  • Screen: Up to 7 inches
  • Processor: Snapdragon 865, Exynos 990 or Exynos 992
  • RAM: 8GB, 12GB, 16GB
  • Storage: 128 or 256GB of initial storage

Google delays the launch of the Pixel 4a, Pixel 5: report

Google will have to delay the launch of the Pixel 4a and Pixel 5 due to current “market conditions,” according to tech specialist Jon Prosser.

The blogger said on his Twitter account that Google intends to announce the Pixel 4a in July, after several delays. The mid-range phone, which would compete with the iPhone SE , would be available in August, Prosser said. The Pixel 5 would also be delayed, although Prosser did not give a specific date.

Prosser says the Pixel 4a was to be announced in May, but was later delayed to June and is now delayed to July again. The specialist says the units are already available for distribution, but the announcement has been delayed due to “market conditions” and not due to problems in the production chain.

In addition to the delay, the Pixel 4a will not be immediately available in all colors. The model in black tone (Just black) would arrive on August 6, and a blue model (Barely Blue) would be available until October 1, according to the specialist.

The Pixel 4a is a widely rumored phone from last year, its older siblings, the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, were barely announced. The 4a, unlike its relatives, is a phone for the mid-range. With a possible price of US $ 399, it will compete with the recent Apple phone with a similar cost and that stand out for trying to seduce consumers who do not want to spend much.

Google has not commented on the launch of the Pixel 4a or Pixel 5.
